  What you do

  · Be responsible for the development of R&D strategy from target discovery through preclinical proof-of-concept to successful IND-enabling studies;

  · Champion discovery stage candidate to preclinical candidate (PCC) by validating in-vivo/ex-vivo models;

  · Lead the transition from preclinical- to clinical-stage drug development by working with different functional teams to complete the Go/No-Go decision of various projects in different preclinical stages;

  · Develop, review, and maintain the R&D timeline, budget, and resources to ensure the alignment of the project R&D strategy;

  · Communicate and present science and preclinical data into understandable concepts for investors, partners, scientific leaders, potential collaborators, scientific leaders, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders;

  · Review scientific content for new funding opportunities, scientific conferences, manuscripts, and all other preclinical-related documents or presentations.  

   

  Who you are

  · PhD in Neuroscience/Neurobiology is preferred. Excellent interpersonal/communication (oral & written) skills in English and a strong record of research publications and high-profile scientific presentations.

  · 20+ years of industry experience, with a depth of experience in research and new drug development and a distinguished record of research leadership in Neuroscience.

  · Proven track record of delivery of key milestones from discovery to successful IND-enabling submission to initiate early clinical development (Phase 1 or Phase 1/2).

   

  Where you will work

  · Based in the US and China on-site, have a willingness to travel and work across time zones.
